Breakfast Clubbing #24
W/c Sep 23: Paris, Portland, Milano, London, Wmsburg, Miami, Hamptons, Mexico City, Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn, Cincinnati, Vegas, and to come: Barcelona, LA (both sides) and lots more. Come hang!
Hi all,
Forgive the late send. I’m in the Austrian Alps on a long-awaited trip that’ll take me to Milan and beyond from here - so adjusting to the ‘time of send’ for this newsletter is not my strongest suit. That being said, I’m propelled this week by
A) a feeling of community.
B) a feeling of possibility.
For feeling A) i’ve got Breakfast Club Milano host Charla Capoini’s post from a week or so back : “People often ask about the #Breakfastclubbing experience. It's a simple yet unique concept that's best experienced firsthand… Over some good coffee and a croissant, I had engaging conversations with diverse individuals, from artists to climate change activists and a passionate motorcyclist supporting children with disabilities… It was refreshing to sit down for a couple of hours and connect on a personal level. Breakfast Clubbing effortlessly breaks down barriers, fostering genuine connections and friendships among strangers. The luxury of enjoying a hot brew and meaningful conversations early in the morning is something I now value greatly. If you find yourself in #Milan or any city with a #BreakfastClub, I encourage you to drop by for a coffee. It's an opportunity to engage in authentic interactions without the pressure of formalities. It's a safe space where real connections are made. Remember, everyone is welcome – including you.”
Thanks Char. See you Weds AM in Milano. And everyone else - see you soon!
AND; for feeling B), i’ve got the Faith that even though I didn’t coordinate with, or deputize anyone for Breakfast Club Williamsburg - normally my responsibility - that the usual gang will show up, glow up, and send us all a report. After three years of BC happening weekly, I’d set my watch by it. Thanks everyone who’s made it happen so far. Onward and upward from here. To wit…

☕️🧇🍳 Breakfast Club Events Last Week:
Breakfast Club PDX - September 17, 2024
Per NIna’s Post: At my end of the table we had a lot of ex-New Yorkers sitting next to each other talking about their favorite bagel shops in Brooklyn. We chatted about about the missing Swifts, Portland Fashion Week (?), designing theme parks and immersive experiences, the eyewear industry and getting as much sun as possible before it disappears. I got mixed reviews on the effectiveness of day light lamps -- but am open to more inputs ☀
We will be back next week, you are invited to join if you're in town.
